Jon Wilkin started his Testimonial year in style with a day at the races in association with Hattons Solicitors Gold Membership.
On Thursday the 24th of May, Jon and the Testimonial Committee invited anyone who has a current Super League Season Ticket to attend a day’s racing at the stunning Haydock Racecourse for FREE. The gates opened at 12.20pm with the first race due to start at 2pm approx.
Simply presenting your valid 2012 Super League season ticket at the Tattersall’s entrance to the course granted freedom to study the form, pick some winners and meet the current St Helens first team and also legends from the game throughout the day. There were also some great prizes won in the enclosure and it was to a fantastic, informal day out at the races.
Jon Wilkin Testimonial Golf Day
Monday 9th July 2012
We had an excellent day and night at The Mere Resort where teams of 4 competed and then sat down for a three course dinner with entertainment from Halifax's number one Pete Emmett and Medical extravert Kevin Jones providing a bundle of comedy! Some special guest rugby players swapped an egg shaped ball for a lengthy club joining a selection of the teams while Jon himself stole a buggie and caused chaos on the course.
Conclusively it was a successful event with compliments on the organisation and quality, (we thank Ian Jones specifically for exerting so much time and effort towards his specific event), and look forward to the future days and nights!
